At Kinship we've always said that one of the most important, and often overlooked, parts of an enterprise social network #ESN is the power of the associated analytics. The analytics module is where insights are developed around the people, topics, engagement and potential new ways to engage and promote adoption of the ESN. Typically this has been done through an analytics "module" or tab and through descriptive analytics driven by a community manager slicing and dicing the data searching for the highlights.
