Telligent Emerges from Zimbra Community as Verint Company

Verint Telligent CommunitiesTelligent, the community platform formerly known as ... ah, Telligent, has emerged from being acquired and rebranded 2 years ago by Zimbra to become a Verint company. As one of the oldest and most successful Telligent partners we are looking forward to the further evolution of the Telligent + Verint capabilities.

Telligent Community retains its strengths

Throughout KINSHIP's long association with Telligent we've been able to re-affirm our initial reasons for carefully selecting Telligent as an enterprise social network of choice from among the many. It remains one of the few with a totally consistent approach across the spectrum from completely closed and private internal communities e.g. for Boards, through membership only internal and customer communities through to open public communities, and everything in-between.

It also has leading community analytics, well before many others in the market, provides for webparts and widgets which can be embedded in other systems where work is done, allows for very flexible design and UI / UX configuration and integrates with other enterprise-wide infrastructure such as search (via a full suite of RESTful APIs, SDKs and other tools).

These are some of the reasons clients such as Channel 10 (public TV Show communities), Telstra (internal enterprise social network), Multicultural NSW (whole website and internal and public communities), and VicHealth (public consultative forums e.g. obesity) have elected to buy Telligent over other community platforms, and internationally why Dell, XBox and Texas Instruments are among the buyers.

Also key, is the fact that KINSHIP follows a strong design and user engagement methodology ensuring best practice community strategy and implementation results in real work outcomes for operational work. We are very use-case focused and do not rest comfortably with the notion that internal and external communities are just to improve or expedite "communication and collaboration". We focus on specific uses cases and value maps and metrics on a detailed vertical basis. The "horizontal" aspects of "communications" will to some degree look after themselves, but won't prove the value.

In other words - integration into how real work is done is critical, as proposed by McKinsey.
